Travel

Reimbursement for travel expenses is intended to make possible faculty members’ and graduate students’ participation in professional meetings. It is not intended to support hospitality such as the purchase of meals for your guests. There may, however, be circumstances in which it is appropriate to provide reimbursement for hospitality expenses. If you anticipate such entertainment, it would be best to clear this with the department chair first; in any event, approval for reimbursement of hospitality expenses must be secured prior to submitting receipts.
